YELLOWING OF PLANTS

Abnormal yellowing of leaf tissue is called chlorosis in which leaves lack the essential green pigment called chlorophyll.
Let's discuss some possible issues:

Watering Issues:
The most common reason that plants leaves turn yellow is because of moisture stress, which can be from either over watering or under watering.
Solution: If you have a plant that has yellow leaves, check the soil in the pot to see if the soil is dry or it's too wet & water accordingly.

This plant of mine is getting Yellow Leaves due to over watering.
One thing I might suggest in over watering case, the yellow color would be brownish yellow if you notice it carefully.

Soil Issues:
The most common nutrient problem associated with chlorosis is lack of iron.
High amounts of other elements such as calcium, zinc, manganese, phosphorus, or copper in the soil can make iron unavailable to the plant and increases the pH level. A shortage of potassium in the plant will also reduce iron availability.

Solution: Based on a soil test, the pH can be lowered by adding sulfur or the appropriate nutrients can be applied.

This plant of mine is getting yellow due to the high pH value, lack of iron in soil. You can see the color of the leaf is deep yellow, so it's completely soil related problem.

So, this are some tips you can identify, why your plants leaves are getting yellow & after that you can solve the issue easily.
